lyrics

Been down so long I can't remember my name
And each and every day they feel the same
I’ve never been so weary and burdened before
Tomorrow I’ll be coming back for more

The fat old foreman keeping me on a leash
It's such a shame that money don’t grow on trees
The sun’s not even out I’m breaking my back
I know my train is running off the tracks

Seems like I’ve been here for a thousand days
And if I break down right now there’ll be hell t’ pay

It’s hot and sticky on this dusty road
Don’t know if I can manage this heavy load
I’m losing faith I know the end is nigh
And if I stumble will you hold me tight

Seems like I’ve been here for a thousand days
And if I break down right now there’ll be hell t’ pay
